Cape Elizabeth Land Trust Awarded National Accreditation
CELT is now one of only 19 Land Trusts in the State of Maine to have earned the LTAC Seal
After nearly four years of concerted effort bringing our policies and practices up to the highest national standards CELT has been recognized by the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission as an accredited land trust.
This designation represents CELT’s commitment to being a strong and vibrant organization and will bring an added layer of strength and accountability to our conservation work and our internal operations. Equally important, the accreditation process has standardized the way we go about our work, from strong financial oversight, to sound land management practices.
With so much important work ahead of us, and the great responsibility of permanently caring for the lands we have preserved, this recognition is a welcome feather in our cap!
