Conservation Leadership Circle

The Conservation Leadership Circle (CLC) is a special membership category of donors who are able and willing to support our annual operating costs with unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more. These donors provide critical financial support that ensures CELT’s ongoing ability to conserve and provide stewardship for lands cherished by our community—from shore lands to marshes, from farmlands to woodlands—for the education, use, and enjoyment of this and future generations. You are invited to join the CLC to have a direct impact on furthering this important mission.

Benefits of Joining the CLC

CLC members share a passion for environmental stewardship and community engagement. For many, the biggest benefit of CLC membership is contributing to the continuation of first-rate conservation practices in the town they love.

Other benefits of membership include:

  • year-round invitations to special events and outdoor gatherings
  • special updates on important conservation issues, CELT activities and acquisitions
  • an invitation to the annual CLC and Oak Society reception
  • recognition in CELT’s annual report

You will also be paired with a current member of the CLC who will welcome you and answer any questions you may have.

Ways to Join the CLC

Gifts may be made or pledged in cash or securities. Pledges must be fulfilled by September 30th each year. Contact Patty Renaud, Membership and Development Manager, by phone at 207.767.6054 or by email at patty@capelandtrust.org.

Checks can be made payable to Cape Elizabeth Land Trust and mailed to CELT, 330 Ocean House Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME O4107.

Or, make your gift via credit card through our secure website.

You may also choose a monthly gift online as a convenient way to make your annual CLC gift.

Many corporations will match your gift dollar for dollar. Your gift, with a corporate match, totaling $1,000 or more, qualifies for membership in the CLC. Some companies also match contributions made by retirees and may match gifts made in the last 12 months. Check with your human resource department and follow their guidelines to request the match. If a form is required, email the form to info@capelandtrust.org . Our tax ID/EIN is 22-2736834.
