Volunteer Event: Invasive Plant Removal & Trail Infrastructure Repairs!

Jul 9
5:30-7:30pm

We are excited to announce that there are some upcoming opportunities to volunteer to get out and help improve the trails we all love! For the remaining weeks of the summer, we will be meeting Tuesday evenings for some trail maintenance and invasive species removal from 5:30-7:30pm at various CELT Properties! We would LOVE to have you there to help!

Starting July 9, we will meet at Great Pond from 5:30-7:30 to remove some pesky invasive plants and repair some trial infrastructure!

We will be entering the trail off State Route 77.  Please meet at Kettle Cove Creamery by 5:30pm. Limited parking is available at Kettle Cove Creamery and there is also some availability on the side of the road as well.

We will provide tools and gloves but feel free to bring your own if you’d prefer. Our primary focus will be Japanese Knotweed, but we will tackle some Bittersweet and Honeysuckle as well.

Please dress appropriately!! We recommend long pants, a long sleeve shirt, a hat, and work shoes. Please bring water and bug spray!

Please email mstephen@capelandtrust.org with any questions!
